I recently gave a binder with the photos from the book to a very special office, and I was there the other day and posed with the binder. The office is filled with great photography books, as well as some vintage prints, such as the one in the background of the Brooklyn Bridge.
After the SFVAS board meeting, photographer Jackie Wollner was kind enough to take a picture of me holding a print of the book cover. The book probably exists by now and is being shipped from China.
Saw a nice exhibit today on Ansel Adams and on Queen Victoria’s photography collection. Then saw the American Crow chasing after a Red-tailed Hawk, just after getting off the tram at the end of the day. Photo of me by Ron Wong.
I’m reading about Roger Tory Peterson’s involvement with the National Audubon Society back in the day. It’s nice to contribute to my local chapter by being on the board and taking a few photos from time to time. I also took a portrait of Scott Logan, owner of Wild Wings, the store where we had our meeting.
