I like the Tilley hat better, but the beret has its value. It’s less showy. I also went with the tan shirt instead of the red one. I’m putting these together just in case they’re needed for the publisher or a gallery. 
A little more formal than usual, but what the heck. I hope the birds appreciated it.

Nice to see a fellow artist appreciating your work, isn’t it? Alain was checking out the book for the first time. Later, he agreed to pose with the book. 
It’s good to have friends like Alain who are generous in spirit and want to help. Alain is a great artist in his own right. For instance, he’s done album covers for B.B. King, among others.
And one more portrait, for good measure. I’m working here with my Canon 100mm macro lens, opened up to f/2.8. It works very well on butterflies, too.
Jason is an excellent photographer and a friend of mine. He has a great touch with light and exposure. Thanks, Jason. The pen is a nice prop, as I use this pen to write my books, and to sign them after they’re published.
