Mathew Tekulsky with MLK book

The Martin Luther King Mitzvah

Mathew Tekulsky's novel is a timeless story of two kids who defy the odds, unite a town, and make a brave stand against discrimination.

THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MITZVAH deal is sealed

It is now official. I just signed the contract with Regal House Publishing for my new book THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MITZVAH. Thanks to everyone concerned for their support. My literary agent asked me for a one-sentence description of the book for his announcement. I came up with this:

THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MITZVAH: A Jewish boy and a Catholic girl play Romeo and Juliet in 1967 as they meet Martin Luther King, Jr. and embark on a mitzvah (a worthy deed) to end the Vietnam War and bring justice to the world.

Reading the Life and Letters of Jesse Hill Ford

Researching the career and life of Jesse Hill Ford, my literature professor at the University of Rochester. As I continue on my new journey in my own literary writings, I am inspired by Jesse and think about how difficult it was for him, and how difficult the writing game is now. Jesse did well, but he had his frustrations. The back cover show Jesse himself.

Publisher found for THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MITZVAH

“Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?” (1967) by Martin Luther King, Jr.

I just learned that this is one of the books President Trump gave to the Pope.

The book is featured in my novel THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MITZVAH, and I’m pleased to report that I now have an offer from a publisher for the book. I’m looking forward to sharing this story with readers everywhere and of all ages.

Here I am holding up the book, showing the back cover with MLK and Ghandi, a nice combination.
