In the garden a couple of days ago
The setup with the hummingbird feeder (hidden behind me in the first photo) and the lavender background. Working on the Black-chinned Hummingbird female, who has gotten used to me and doesn’t fly off when I’m standing six feet away. Yesterday, I went toward the feeder to clean it off just as she was arriving, then she flew off to the right, into the orchid tree. I went back to the camera and in a flash, she landed on the feeder. She knows where I’m going. 
Everybody’s running, including the Kennedys
Those Kennedys never seem to stop running, do they. Bobby Shriver is Eunice Shriver’s son, and Eunice was President Kennedy’s sister.

My friend Steve wrote the great song “Little BIrd” for the Beach Boys with Dennis Wilson. “Little bird up in a tree looked down and sang a song to me of how it began.”

David has won the Pulitzer Prize and was President Ford’s White House photographer. Recently, he has been branching out into some nice bird photographs himself. He’s a photographer’s photographer. Thanks to Garvin Meehan for taking the photograph of Dave and me.
