The Nanday Parakeets and Moon photograph
Another Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center Exhibition photograph. A good friend of mine purchased this one and he photographed me with it before I gave it to him. Nice to have support.

Sometimes, working away from home involves going to a local high-end supermarket that has tables outside. I love this place. Here I am on September 9, 2016 proofreading my typewritten manuscript of my novelBernie and the Hermit.
After proofreading the typewritten manuscript of my novel Bernie and the Hermit, I continue writing longhand and keep the story going, as I combine working at home and creating in a public place. Somehow the book gets written as the change of venue keeps me motivated and alert.
October 5, 2018, publication day for The Martin Luther King Mitzvah, and here I am with the hardcover at the same supermarket, where I sometimes do my writing at these outdoor tables.
I like the sunburst coming in from the back. This is from the Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center exhibition I did in 2016.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium at the Santa Monica Public Library has a photograph of MLK and Jim just caught my reflection with The Big Man. Quite a neat moment. I’m glad I was holding the book.
It’s the Jewish New Year today, and what could be more amazing than to have the great Adam Sandler pose with me and THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MITZVAH, in a nice photo taken by Adam’s daughter Sadie. I named my character in the novel after Adam, because as I was writing the book a couple of years ago, I became acquainted with Adam, and he inspired me to write a fairy tale in which the underdog emerges victorious, a theme to which Sandler has returned time and time again. Thanks to the Sandler family and Happy New Year to all.
