How exciting that Diesel, A Bookstore at the Brentwood Country Mart has decided to carry my book, and to give it a special sign as well which says that I’m a local author, which I am. Thanks to Lynn Weingarten at Diesel for all of her help and for taking the photograph of me beside my favorite bookshelf. And they’ve already sold a copy! The note says, “A timelesss story of two kids who defy the odds, unite a town, and make a brave stand against discrimination.”
For some reason, I just like the look of this book these days. A major coffee company has expressed interest in possibly buying some copies of the book for a promotion. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
The legendary folk-rock musician was kind enough to pose with me and his copy of BACKYARD BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY. What fun for a Fairport Convention fan like me. I told him I was the biggest Fairport fan and he said, well, there may be three or four that are bigger than you, something like that. Funny.
I took the original photograph in the frame as the moon was in the sky right behind me here, with the parakeets flying to the left. The photograph in the frame was taken 11/24/12, and this photograph with me in it was taken on my birthday, April 8, 2017.
