Another slice of Americana in Santa Monica.

I stopped the shutter down to 1/30 second and held on tightly as the bus sped into view causing a blur. Sense of motion, with the word “Splendid” above the store just fitting in. Rocky and Bullwinkle are indeed splendid on the marquee. 
Prom night at the Aero Theatre
This nice couple treated their son to a marquee recently to invite his girlfriend to the prom. They were nice enough to pose for this portrait, which I put under the Americana label.
