Just published in the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Guide 2015, page 43. Check out the upper right on the page. Another day, another credit. Hard fought, but worth it. And a nice credit line too, in block caps (i.e. block capital letters in the trade).
Sometimes, in the field, you have to take stock and gather up the energy for another round of intense, close-up photography. It is physically and mentally exhausting. The end result is only the tip of the iceberg as far as the effort is concerned, but it’s worth it. 
Another day at the office. 
Another butterfly close encounter. Always a thrill. 
There is nothing like being close to butterflies. This is my author photo for THE ART OF BUTTERFLY GARDENING, due out this spring. 
Pausing between shots and just reveling at the magic of butterflies. You can see some butterflies at lower left, just past my lens. I took up the challenge to provide the photographs for my book THE ART OF BUTTERFLY GARDENING myself. It was very hard work in the heat and I couldn’t keep up with all the excitement of each shot. But I did it.
